On the second anniversary of his detention, thousands of supporters of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan are demonstrating nationwide to call for his release.
Numerous members of Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party have been arrested, according to security officials on Tuesday. The majority of the arrests were made in the eastern city of Lahore on Monday night and early on Tuesday, where the PTI has scheduled a large demonstration for later in the day.
